We believe the existence of right to healthcare as a positive social right emphasizes the need for active social responsibility. With the intent of contributing to the social good, Norvik Hospital Ltd. has been implementing various CSR initiatives since its inception. We realize that access to healthcare for the vulnerable and marginalized masses is a challenge and hence as a way of giving it back to the community, we strive to provide quality health care while keeping in mind the key aspects of equity and equality. Some of the initiatives facilitated and implemented by NHL are as follows;

  • Free Hepatitis vaccination for 220 Lady prisoners at Luzira prison in 2017, 350 refugees in 2018 and for those at City square from 2017-2019.
  • In partnership with the Pharmacological Society of Uganda, NHL has raised around 10 million for sickle cell disease from 2014-2018.
  • Norvik conducts health check-up camps for free and till date has conducted camps for 30 corporates screening more than 2000 employees.
  • Every month, there are various health issues that are emphasized upon such as womens’ issues on womens’ day in March, Hepatitis in July, Prostate in August so on and so forth, and services are provided at a subsidized cost in the form of various packages.
