We realize that treatment given in the casualty ward is supposed to be expeditious, courteous and efficient and we consider it to be our strength. NHL’s casualty ward accommodates patients based on the urgency and need of the treatment while also being equipped with adequate waiting space.

We have the required staff and equipments to ensure service provision through day and night.

Some of the cases dealt with in the casualty are as follows;

Accident and injury cases on a 24-hour basis
Minor or major surgical infections
Treat patients arriving outside OPD hours or on a Sunday

We have nurses all through the day who cater to a load of 50 -60 patients every day.

With regard to the equipment available in the casualty, we have the following set up;

Cardiac monitors.
Defibrillator to restore normal heartbeat for patients with cardiac arrest or arrhythmias.
Suction machine to remove obstruction such as mucus, saliva or secretions from a person’s airway.
Nebulizer to help inhale the medicines when required.
ECG Machine to monitor cardiac vitals.
Two oxygen cylinders.
Plaster of Paris cutter.
Vein finder.
Stadiometer to measure height.
